Elope In Ireland: An intimate Irish wedding in Waterford
Weddings come in all sizes and as a wedding photographer who works across all of Ireland, I see them all: from Irish castle weddings with 300 guests, to elopements like this one with just 4 guests.
Emma and Travis rented this beautiful Airbnb 'castle' just outside Lismore, County Waterford and invited their parents along too! They could easily get ready separately across the many gorgeous rooms and I joined them as they prepared for their intimate ceremony.
Emma's dad, walked her down the 'aisle' and the couple met outdoors for a wonderfully intimate ceremony, including a stone warming, exchanging of vows and rings and handfasting.
We then had time for drinks, cake and a couple's shoot around the beautiful grounds.
After a quick change, it was time to head into Lismore for a few drinks.
I left them wishing them all the happiness in the world as they headed out for a meal in Lismore. What a day! So relaxed, intimate and full of love; it was an absolute pleasure to be their wedding photographer in Ireland for their truly romantic Irish elopement. What a privilege to spend the day with Emma and Travis, to meet their parents and to capture these photos to last a lifetime for them.
