Hotel Kilmore Cavan Wedding // Aibhe & Paddy // Autumn Wedding

Ailbhe and Paddy's big day in November was a celebration of two local families coming together. Close family bonds; rich velvet reds; laughter and hugs; singing and dancing; the last of the autumn leaves; and just a little bit of rain, were all the ingredients that brought together their amazing wedding day.

Both had a relaxing start to their day, getting ready in their home houses with their loved ones.

Conversation, laughter and maybe a little bit of nerves filled both houses. Georgina McCormack (hair) and Sarah Keogh (makeup) worked their magic, and had everyone ready with plenty of time for a glass of fizz.

I LOVE capturing the morning preparations. You might not even appreciate this set of photos within your gallery until a few years to come, when you look back on your whole day and the memories and emotions of those last few hours before walking down the aisle all come flooding back. The little details you'd forgotten, your closest friends and family who shared this time with you and the anticipation of the day to come.

Ailbhe looked absolutely stunning in her dress from Love Ellie Bridal. Simple, elegant and timeless, with sleeves for that little extra warmth needed for an autumn wedding!

Ailbhe and Paddy were married in St Mary's Church, Newtownforbes, a central place of community for both families. The love between these two just shone from them both throughout their ceremony.

The Irish autumn weather was very kind to us and allowed us just enough time for some beautiful couple and bridal party photos in the stunning grounds of Castle Forbes. Those rich red bridesmaids' dresses combined with the absolutely beautiful, yet simple bouquets and button holes by Drumlish Flowers were just gorgeous against the backdrop of the castle and the last of the autumn leaves. As a local Longford wedding photographer, it was a real treat to capture photos within the castle grounds, which are not open to the public.

Onto the reception and Hotel Kilmore in Cavan hosted a brilliant celebration. The staff were absolutely fantastic, the food was delicious and the dance floor was packed. Such a wonderful day for this fabulous couple from start to finish!
